SOZIO-NATÜRLICH is an interactive environment specifically designed for The Immersive Lab, a touch-interactive 360-degree screen at the Zürich University for the Arts.
The conditions of late modernity and the way we use technology to communicate have dislodged our selves from our physical and social environments. Actions and experience feel distanced from a coherent system of meaning for many. Society itself suffers from a disembedding as social interactions become mediatized, virtualized and remote.SOZIO-NATÜRLICH provides an alternative narrative for our interaction with technology, one in which the act of social coordination between people provides the key to unlock the potential beauty and responsivity of the constructed world.
