Mission
We work to create not only experiential pieces, but also to sustain collaborative systems that reach beyond our partnership, linking us with other artists, technologists and designers the world over. Combining bodily/sensory and conceptual elements, the experiences we create illuminate both individual and social aspects of perception. At the center of each of our works is interaction between people: social interaction coordinates the development and activities of technology. Becoming aware of these processes allows us to change the choices we make when we create new things.
Attention
is a resource. It’s crucial to understanding our senses, our bodies, and our presence in social space. We use technology to automate processes and free our attention. But, perversely, economic pressures have created technologies that depend on compulsive interruption to sell our attention to advertisers is crowding out our ability to focus. We would like to provide an antidote, a non-interrupting technology that focuses intention and enhances awareness.
